Mouth Yoga: Present Moment, Wonderful Moment Meditaion

how to meditateThis beautiful practice is from Vietnamese Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh.

On an inhale say to yourself,  ‘IN.’  On the exhale say to yourself,  ‘OUT.’

On an inhale say to yourself,  ‘DEEP.’ On the exhale say to yourself,  ‘SLOW.’

On an inhale say to yourself,  ‘CALM.’ On the exhale say to yourself,  ‘EASE.’

On an inhale say to yourself,  ‘SMILE.’ On the exhale say to yourself,  ‘RELEASE.’

On an inhale say to yourself,  ‘PRESENT MOMENT.’ On the exhale say to yourself,  ‘WONDERFUL MOMENT.’

There are more than three hundred muscles in our face, and when we know how to breathe in and smile, these muscles can relax. This is “mouth yoga.”
